Famitsu mention it interest in new Pokemon RPG series!
Friday, Feb 05, 2010 @ 12:55 AM By: MasterDVD007 E-mail Me RSS Feed
The Japanese gaming magazine "Famitsu" showed in its Pokemon page of this month its interest in the new upcoming Pokemon RPG, it doesn't mentioned something that we don't know, but it confirms that the new game is about the upcoming 5th Generation of Pokemon.
http://yfrog.com/j5famitsupokemonoj
It says "We've waited 4 years since the development of a completely new Pokemon series has been confirmed! What's more, it will be released this year!? New Pokemon will appear!"
That's all for this time.

Hasta luego...

My Interview with Serebii
Friday, Nov 27, 2009 @ 11:18 PM By: Nightwing E-mail Me RSS Feed
Serebii.net

My first time talking to Serebii I remember it was in 2004 when I was strolling on the internet looking for directions on my Pokemon Crystal but now 5 years later he still the most popular Pokemon webmaster on the web. Here is my interview.

Nightwing: Is this really Serebii?

Serebii: It sure is.

Nightwing: Can I interview for http://pokezam.com

Serebii: Sure.

Nightwing: What inspired you into becoming a webmaster?

Serebii:  It was originally just something to do during lunchtimes at school. As time progressed, the site progressed and I became more involved in it. My knowledge of computers and programming languages spurred myself to continue even in dire times.

Nightwing: Awesome, when did you get into Pokemon?

Serebii:  In 1999 just before it came here. A friend brought a game back from America and I liked it so much I imported it.

Nightwing: How long do you think Serebii.net will last? That was the first Pokemon site I've ever been to back in 2003-2004.

Serebii: I honestly don't know. There have been numerous points where I've wanted to pack it in, especially when things go very very wrong. There was even a point this year where I thought the end was night, but everything bounced back. I can see myself doing it for a while. While I still have the free time (which unfortunately dwindles each year), and while I still want to keep my coding skills fresh.

Nightwing: Well, I hope you continue on with your good work but other than Serebii, I always wanted to know what you like to do besides Serebii and Pokemon.

Serebii: Well I'm always out with my friends doing the usual stuff, going out clubbing and everything. I'm partial to Sci-Fi on TV and film and I play other games like Zelda, Mario and many more.

Nightwing: Ah, well let me close this interview since you’re probably busy. But thanks again for letting me do this. But I have one favor to ask you would you ever battle me on Wi-Fi lol?

Serebii: I don’t have Wi-Fi lol.

Nightwing: Oh darn. Us two battling on Wi-Fi will be the ultimate Pokemon Battle!  I'll be waiting for my challenge until you get Wi-Fi! Remember me LOL! But, alright thanks for the interview.

Serebii: Nothing is impossible lol.

Help with Bakugan
Saturday, Oct 24, 2009 @ 04:28 AM By: FreezeWarp E-mail Me RSS Feed
Although Pokezam will be a little inactive for another couple weeks, we are working on other content. Others of us, on the other hand, are quite excited to be bettering the entire gaming community, such as our former webmaster and founder, Sean Cooper. He has recently started managing a Bakugan magazine issue. Although he has enough experience with the concept, he could really use help from the community to learn what everybody would want to see in an issue and ideas for articles. If you do, please email him at webmaster@pokezam.com. He could really use your help, so please send him a line!

Today, PokeZam has released ZamVideos, a place to watch your favorite anime and cartoons. It's not completely finshed due to lack of staff members. If you're interested don't hesitate E-Mailing or Instant Message me at legend23k@hotmail.com (MSN) or IM me at rlegend23 (AIM). Have fun on ZamVideos!

Thanks for Your Patience

You'll have to excuse my innactivity over the past while. School start about three weeks ago, and I'm only gradually getting adjusted. Of course, this means that Pokezam hasn't been my highest priority, but in due time the gears should start turning again. Right now, I'll leave you with the promise of good fortune in the coming months, and a reminder to make sure that you activate the Mystery Gift in order to get Oak's Letter, required to capture Shaymin (see pokemonplatinum.com for more information on this).

HG/SS Trainer Card Requirements
Thursday, Oct 01, 2009 @ 01:05 AM By: Pisaro E-mail Me RSS Feed
My source of information is http://www37.atwiki.jp/hgss/ and http://pokemon-hs.wikiwiki.jp

0 stars - Red - You begin with this

1 star - Blue - You get this by defeating the Johto Elite Four as well as the Champion Lance

2 stars - Green - You get this by acquiring five shiny gold leaves. This is depending on the nature of your Pokemon and certain routes are dependant on that nature.

You can only find one leaf per route. Once you have five leaves on one Pokemon, talk to your neighbor/friend/rival (whether you picked male or female) in New Bark Town and a crown will be made out of the leaves for your Pokemon and you will be awarded the star.

3 stars - Purple - You get this by breaking all the records in the Pokethlon set by the computer. These records are fairly easy though take a bit of practice at first.

Once you score higher than the CPU in all of the events you will be awarded enough points to be given your own room inside the stadium complete with the three Pokemon you won the last event with and yourself in gold statue form as well as the star.

4 stars - Gray - Complete the National Dex. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Fione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus are not required.

5 stars - Gray - Get 100 wins in the Battle Tower singles only.

Trainer Card Requirements for HG/SS
Wednesday, Sep 23, 2009 @ 07:17 PM By: Pisaro E-mail Me RSS Feed
There are some slight changes to obtaining a five star trainer card in Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver as compared to Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

1. Defeat the Johto Elite Four
2. Complete the National Dex (excludes Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Fione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus)
3. Get 100 wins in the Battle Tower (apparently single wins only)

4 and 5. I am working on translating though involve the Pokeathlon and searching for specific items in different routes.

Pokemon Trainer Red
Tuesday, Sep 22, 2009 @ 08:55 PM By: Pisaro E-mail Me RSS Feed
So I received my copy of Pokemon Heart Gold via UPS and defeated Pokemon Trainer Red within a week. Red to my surprise was not too difficult (compared to how he was in the original Gold and Silver). Here are some basic notes.

I used a Level 75 Ampharos and Level 70 Lugia, so obviously I was rather underleveled.

1. Level 88 Pikachu, knows Volt Tackle which can inflict a lot of damage. Other than that it's not too bad.

2. Snorlax - Has Blizzard and Giga Impact, tough though not too bad.

3. Lapras - Has Blizzard and probably some other moves though I took him out fast.

4. Blastoise - Has Blizzard and this one mediocre water move.

5. Venusaur - Has Sludge Bomb which can be menacing.

6. Charizard - Has Flare Drive which can be tough. I struggled quite a bit here and Red and I were constantly healing.

I eventually won and earned 16,800 yen (prefer saying that over Pokedollars) in the process.

HeartGold / SoulSilver News
Saturday, Sep 12, 2009 @ 04:19 AM By: FreezeWarp E-mail Me RSS Feed
Okay, so with HeartGold and SoulSilver having become available in Japan, we have learned a lot, mainly from Serebii.net. I'll touch on most of the information, and Pokezam will start coverage soon, especially when the game is released on North American shores.

First of all, Red has been confirmed in the game, and will have Pokemon in the low to mid eighties. He will be available after you have beaten the other 16 gym-leaders, which also will be listed on your trainer cards.

Once you have beaten first eight gym leaders, the elite four, the second eight gym leaders, and Red, the elite four will get considerably stronger. You will also be able to receive one of the Kanto starters from Professor Oak in Pallet Town, and one of the Hoenn Starters from Steven Stone (the Red-equivilent in Emerald) in Celadon City.

Next up, it has been confirmed that the three legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, will indeed be available, as will Mewtwo in the Cerulean cave. Additionally, both Ho-Oh and Lugia will be available in either copy. Other legendaries, confirmed before, are Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, as well as the three legendary dogs.

Also on the list, you will be able to fight in a double battle against Claire and Lance later in the game, as with other things. Other news of interest, you will get the national dex at the Olivine Harbor, Viridian Forest is in its full glory, the trainer house in Viridian City returns, and Pal Park will now replace the Safari Zone in Fuschia.

Finally, there will be some interesting changes in the storyline throughout the game. I'll leave them up in the air for now, though, as to not spoil things. If you'd like, see Serebii.net's full coverage.

Once you obtain the National Dex, Latios/Latias can be found roaming the lands of Kanto/Johto at Level 50. Also Groudon/Kyogre are version exclusives.
